The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the large quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration more info Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The company point established for intervention activities a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and enhance usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
